20th Century World History Topics
Students have been given this topic from the 2000-2003 and 2009 school years:
During this semester, you will find a person you want to interview (mostly likely an adult) and find an historical event (of a global or even more local significance) he or she can talk about. This topic should be of some significance and should relate to an event that is human-inspired. (Such events could include a war, a revolution, a great accomplishment, for example. No natural events, such as an earthquake, can be your subject.) The best oral histories come from people who have experienced the actual event first-hand. Interview them as many times as you need to in order to get enough details for your completed oral history.
