A Cellular Advance

Born and raised in Iran, Garegin is a senior citizen at the age of seventy-one living in Glendale, California USA. Amongst the many places he has traveled.  He has seen many changes occur throughout his life. In which he is married with two children named Diana and Edvard, and his wife Ashxatoon. My "Keri" (uncle) lived a hard working life and now as a senior citizen lives with his wife and daughter, with a grandchild on the way. A big change in his life has been the creation of the cellular phone, which gives him a chance to communicate with family, friends, and distant relatives. To him it replaced the hassle of mail, and quickened the process of communication, and as time grown he sees the greater power of knowledge will grow progressing people to do greater and bigger things. In which the growth and spread of cellular phones, they will not only be more sufficient but sooner or later everyone will have a cell phone in their hands, spoken in his words. With how the cell phone helps him communicate it is important to have one and use it, for your needs.

Hello my name is Garegin I was born in Iran, and I lived there until I was thirty years old. I liked living there very much because it was an enjoyable place to live and my home. After living in Tehran we later on moved to Armenia with my whole family. My dad, brother Baqrat, oldest sister Arevat, middle sister Yeranuhi, and youngest sister Paytzar along with the rest of my family moved to Armenian. Armenia was a great place; it was great with its factories, education, universities, schools, its household customs and manors. I graduated school in Armenia after my 10th grade year. After finishing school I worked at many different jobs. When I was young I went to work at a shoe store, later I went to work at a bakery, than at a metal factory, and sometime later I went to work at a Montage. A Montage is a factory in which we would make our own metal and build huge metals by our hands, huge sky high buildings and factories, along with cars. I was twenty nine when my family moved to Armenia and we lived there for about thirty years, and than we came to America when I was about 60 years old. Life in the United States was good when we arrived here everything was okay. But I did not work here since I was senior citizen. I have two children with my wife Ashxatoon, my son Edvard and my daughter Diana.

In my opinion the biggest change in the 20th century are cell phones because cell phones have to do with connection, computers, internet, and communication which are all a higher level of technology.
At the moment I do have a cell phone from Verizon which is a very good company. Verizon is a good company, everything about it is good, its phones are beautiful, they have a great service, and it reaches today's standards. Its connection is fast and reliable. It suits me because I can use it whenever I want to. Everything is reliable about Verizon; it keeps my communication in a good shape. My expectations are filled, It has good service, good customer service, its price throughout are fair, its line is good, and their company workers are kind a good to talk too.

Most of the time I use my cell phone to call people. But yes I do have long conversations with people about 30 minutes long. We talk about what is happening here and there, since I don't get to see people often, I need the cell phone to talk to them. I get a lot of pleasure talking on the phone, when you don't see someone often you want to talk to them even more, through the help of cell phones. On my cell phone I mostly talk with family members, relatives, sisters, and my brother. Most of the time we talk about the good and the bad times and how life is going. The cell phone also helps me receive new news, it is my connection line. Most of the time I use my cell phone during midday and the evening, or when I need to have someone come and take somewhere or come pick me up. Along with all the conversations I do have boundaries which I do not pass. In my family my daughter Diana uses the cell phone the most. Because she has a lot of friends and people she needs to connect with, plus she goes to school and she needs to communicate with her friends and family.

In many cases I have been in situations where I needed a cell phone to call here and there, or to ask questions about something important. Yes there has been times, when I go somewhere I call home and tell them to come and pick me up. There has been a situation when I just came to Armenia, if I didn't have a cell phone I would have been lost. One day coming home I lost my way and got lost, and so I called my son and he gave me directions back home, and than I found some and told him I am almost, that guy helped me get home with his car. I told him I would go but he told me to get in and he would take me home. This was very kind of him to do so.

The cell phone has brought on a lot of changes from then and now. Life along with the world are more advanced and more technically evolved. I can receive more information quickly throughout the world and even in my family, plus I can talk to people more quickly. It has also changed connectivity between people, it can connect people together; the whole world is connected to one another faster allowing others to talk to one another more.

Cell phones will develop more and as time goes by it become more and more advanced because the knowledge grows so will the production of the cell phone. I don't think it will stop, never, it will continue to grow and become more advance cell phones and technology will be produced, once you get used to it you have a need and growth to it, I am talking about everyone in a whole, and how the advance of the cell phones have effected people as one. Also at our time it has advanced, especially now, and the world advances and so will its technology.

In my family almost everyone has a cell phone, my daughter son, sisters and brother. The price that my family pays for the cell phone bill is suitable, if we use it that we have to pay for it, whatever much you use you have to pay for. Yes of course I do use my cell phone, how can I not pick it up when I receive a call. At a younger age I never imagined that such an advance would be created like cell phones, but the human imagination grows helping the produce advanced and new inventions and so it will continue. When you look back at our time it has changed a lot, during our time there was nothing. At first it was the radio than it was the television later on there came the creation of cars, than planes, all these war not there at my time but they are here now. It shows a lot of change between my times and now, For example you can call and find out what happens and doesn't happen old time people would write letters and that mail would reach in 15 days, now that there are cell phones everything is quickly. But if we had cell phones for example the kinds who sent people for messages, how things would messages have gone by if they had cell phones. The important thing is that wherever you are you can be reached, even if you are at work. If you need some urgent news someone can reach you right there and there. It would not be impossible to reach you; the right information can get you whenever it is needed.

As whole cell phones is a good effect the world. Why would it be a bad thing on the world, what has it done that's bad, you just talk to it with another person. Writing letters you had to sit down and think for hours and worry about spelling and such. When you use a cell phone you just talk from left to right. Cell phones are faster and are quicker, until you send the mail and you receive one back it takes months. You receive information much faster through cell phones.

You see that the generation that the cell phone is being used in is right now. Little by little everyone will have a cell phone and we might have no need for house phones, and maybe kids as young as five or three years of age could have a cell phone. Especially since it is used in the younger generations the most.

For me the cell phone is used for simple tasks. I use the simplest things in a cell phone, but for example my daughter downloads music, you can also chat, use it like a computer and go on the internet. It will soon be a computer phone and TV; it will be everything in a telephone. It will be a camera all of a sudden it will be used for every need. All of a sudden everything will change and it will be one small cell phone for everything, and anything you want you will have, listen, watch and use in a cell phone.
